apparently yet another 737 MAX experienced an incident, the side blew out and nearly took a seat with it in flight, Alaska Airlines Flight 1282. The mother had to hold onto their child in that seat who lost their shirt. Several phones were ripped out of passenger hands.
it looks like one of the emergency doors in its location near the tail number blew out
being told by someone who knows these planes better that there is no emergency exit door there as delivered for Alaska but they put in a plug filler that's unopenable but is supposed to be secure. Something has gone badly wrong.
so to meet legal requirements, if you fly a 737 MAX 9 with all-coach seats to pack as many people as possible into the plane, you are legally required to put in an extra emergency exit there.
Alaska flies multiclass so they could put in a wall panel but the outline is visible
lol Boeing registered that serial number in July 2023 and the airworthiness certificate was issued in late October 2023, this plane was brand fucking new
christ the finance bro leadership from mcdonnell douglas that got in are destroying the place
anywho, if i was Airbus, i'd be buying some ads rn for the A321neo with like "the side doesn't fall off" and "not a convertible"
