Just wanna point out America isn't young. It has a large amount of history. The only thing that is young is the history of the white people that came here and invaded land not belonging to us and destroyed or at least attempted to destroy the rich cultures and history that already existed. Cultures and history of strong people currently doing their best to rejuvinate what was taken from them so it is important for us as white people to recognize there was, in fact, something here before us.
