As for ways to harm... The simplest would probably be good ole Embrace, Extend, Extinguish, where they adopt ActivityPub, then "extend" it with Threads-only features, and basically make sure that all new users (and a bunch of existing users) go from Masto/Misskey/Akkoma to Threads.
